How To Find Inexpensive Baby Diapers?

You can find great deals on baby diapers pretty frequently at Rite Aid, CVS and Walgreens as long as you wait for a sale, rewards, rebates and use coupons.

I’ve been trying to stockpile baby diapers before I have my baby.  I’m also trying to get my little toddler out of diapers before the baby is born!  Lately, I’ve found that diaper coupons and diaper sales seem to be abundant!  I was told by a Rite Aid employee that they were clearancing out Luvs diapers because they were not carrying them anymore and the stores that do carry them will only carry the small boxes.  Rite Aid has also been clearancing out Huggies and Pampers.  Evidently it is old stock because I opened up a package today and found that they had coupons that expired in 2009.

Here is my latest baby diaper stockpile find:

$1.62 for each pack of diapers!!!

I went to Rite Aid this week and scored big on diapers.  I found several mega packages marked down from $17.99 to $8.99.  I used $3 off coupons, store coupons and the UP rewards that I earned on buying the John Frieda Root Awakenings Shampoo and Conditioner to bring my total cost for 254 diapers to a little over $.03 cents a diaper!  That beat my $.10 cents a diaper buy price by a long shot!

I did several transactions.  I first bought the root awakening shampoo and conditioner and earned $20 in UP rewards to use on the diaper transactions.  To buy the shampoo and conditioner, I used the $3 off root awakening coupons and some Up coupons from the previous week to end up earning me high overage off the 8 bottles of shampoo and conditioner.

I used two $10 UP coupons I made off the shampoo and conditioner, along with $3 off Huggies coupons, and a Pampers coupon, my my Rite Aid Video Value coupons ($5 off $20 and $5 off 25), as well as added in two rebates I will recieve to bring my total cost for all those packages of diapers for $9.72 or $1.62 each pack!!!

Had I of just bought those diapers without sales, clearance, rebates, coupons and rewards, the total cost at normal Rite Aid prices would have been $101.84 for those 6 packages of diapers!

I love finding a great diaper deal!!!

Baby Diaper Stockpile Deal at Rite Aid

I’m super excited about the diaper stockpiling deal I was able to take advantage of at Rite Aid this week.  I got the tip on the Rite-Aid Huggies diaper sale and rebates from The Thrifty Couple.  They posted an awesome strategic diaper stockpiling scenario.  So I decided to check it out and see what I could come up with.

First, I signed up for their Wellness Reward card.  It works like the CVS Extra Care Bucks rewards program.  This week, Huggies diapers were on sale for $8.99 when you used your Wellness Card ($12.99 regularly) and giving back a $1 UP reward (one UP reward per transaction in my area).  Also, you can submit your receipt for another $2 rebate on buying Huggies diapers in the form of a SCR (Single Check Rebate).  I find it easier to submit the Rite Aid SCRs online.  Also, there is a Huggies Rebate through Rite Aid until 7-22-10 if you buy 5 packages of Huggies diapers, you get a Huggies Voucher for a pack of diapers up to $11.49.

So while that is all confusing sounding, I loaded up 3 kids and took them to the store with me to see if I could stockpile some diapers for a good price.  We got to the store and to my great delight was a shelf of diapers marked 50% off!  Ohh, happy day!

They had a large variety of diapers, Pampers, Luvs and Huggies diapers and pull-ups marked 50% off!  So I altered my original plan in the store with a pen and paper and quickly worked out this deal based on the clearance sale.   Here’s how it came down:

Transaction 1:

Bought:

$6.49 Pampers Swaddlers jumbo clearanced
$6.49 Huggies Supreme jumbo clearanced
$8.99 Huggies Pure and Natural jumbo (sale ended 6-19)

Used:

- $5 off $20 Video Values Coupon
-$2 Pampers coupon (coupons came in a diaper sample I requested)
-$2.50 off Huggies Pure and Natural printable

Total:  $13.65

Got back $1 UP reward
Submitted rebate for $2 SCR Huggies diaper pack

Transaction 2:

Bought:

$6.49 Huggies Supreme jumbo pack clearance
$8.99 Huggies Supreme  jumbo pack clearance
$8.99 Huggies Pure and Natural jumbo pack
and two boxes of clearanced out Goldfish to get my total over $25!

Used:

- $5 off $25 Rite Aid purchase for signing up for Wellness Rewards
- $4 off 2 packages of Huggies diapers printable
- $2.50 off Huggies Pure and Natural diaper printable
- $1 UP reward from the first transaction

Total:  $14.67

Earned another $1 UP reward for buying a pack of Huggies in this transaction.
Submitted Huggies Diaper Rebate for an $11.49 voucher for a package of Hugggies diapers.

Ending Up

All said and done, I spent $28.32 out of pocket
-  the $4 I got back in UP rewards and the Rite Aid Huggies Rebate.
-  the $11.49 diaper voucher.
and I got 36 Gifts to Grow points for entering in the code inside the Pampers diapers I bought

In the end, it works out to being 7 packages of diapers for around $3 a package!!!  ( I didn’t subtract the $11.49 from my out of pocket…I just added another package of diapers to my out of pocket expenses minus the $4 in rewards and rebates.)

Now that I totally confused yall…. I’m going to go add my diaper deal today to my diaper stockpile and organize my closet!  And yes… next week I’m going to try and do the CVS Huggies diaper deal

A Few Grocery Deals and Freebies

I took advantage of being in town and grabbed a few deals at Target and Publix one day this week.  At Target, I found  Gillette Fusion razors clearanced out to $2.48.  I used the one P&G $4 off any Gillette Fusion razor coupon I had and was able to get the $2 overage which went against the large bag of large dog food that was clearanced out to $8 as well as some other things I needed.  Target usually has clearance items on the end caps of the aisles.  They had two different kinds of Gillette Fusion razors clearanced out and if I would have had more coupons…I could have stocked up on razors for free.

Free razors with over $3 in overage.

I also was able to pick up some Cheerios cereal that were BOGO $3.99 at Publix.  I had some .50 cent off 1 coupons that were doubled to $1 off each box and there was a blinkie machine that had .75 cents off 2.  So I used a few of those and stocked up on some cereal.  This ended up being a little cheaper than the big boxes of cereal I buy at Sam’s.  I also used the $2 off any Schick razors and used it on the 2-pack Schick disposable razors which were priced at .99 cents a package….and they gave me the overage on that too!  I also picked up some .30 cent cans of vegetables and some kitchen sponges.  All in all it was 5 sacks of groceries and household products for $13….pretty good for not being ultra planned or having a lot of coupons.

Then I went to Sam’s and picked up the rest of our groceries.

I was also able to get  10 coupon inserts from the newspaper recycling place, which I am hoping will help me stock up on some up coming deals

Other on going deals worth checking out:

CVS diapers:  I check one CVS store and they only had one package of CVS diapers 50% off  (size 6)…so I wasn’t able to find the really cheap $2 diapers everyone has been talking about

Pampers Wipes:  Possibly the hottest deal on baby wipes ever is the Pampers $2 off coupon that has recently been released and I don’t have any of those coupons!!!  I looked on ebay…but the auction prices are soaring.  It’s a awesome coupon for stocking up on free Pampers wipes…if you can get a hold of it!  Check out this list of places where you can use the coupon and get them for free.

As low as $2.74 for Pampers Diapers at Rite Aid!

Here’s how you can get Pampers diapers for as low as $2.74 a package!  Rite Aid’s sale this week on Pampers jumbo packs is $9.99.  In addition, there is a P&G promotion going on if you purchase $30 worth of participating P&G products, you will receive a $10 Rite Aid gift card.  The Thrifty Couple has this deal scenario on their blog which uses the Rite Aid sale, manufacturer coupons, gift card rebate and manufacturer rebates.  Check out this scenario if your interested in how to get really cheap diapers!
