BabyMoon

I’ve been enjoying my time off.  I can’t get enough of that sweet newborn smell and holding that sweet little baby balled up on my chest.  Wow…she was inside me!  I can’t get over that!  It is such an incredible miracle….and feels so much better having her here on the outside where I can hold her and kiss her feet and stare at her.

I’ve had a lot of help…..  My mom has been helping out with the kids, doing a ton of laundry, cleaning and putting away some things in the freezer for us to bake after she leaves.  And I’ve had plenty of help from our church bringing over meals.  If there is anything helpful to a new mom, it’s bringing her food!  I’ve so enjoyed the food!  haha!!!

I’m so glad to be on the other side of labor (that’s an understatement!!!).  I feel like I’ve been on pause for a while.  My challenge now will be not to jump over the starting gate but take it slow and easy for a while.  It’s nice spending the day in your pajamas, but it does get old…especially when you’re watching Toy Story for the 8th time in less than 2 weeks.

Mercy is doing great and I am recovering fast.  I think part of the speedy recovery is due in part to the gallons of Red Raspberry and Nettle tea and herbal I’ve been guzzling down over the last 3 months.  I’m hoping that rest will go a long way too.

I’m sure I’ll get back to posting soon, but right now, I’m enjoying my sweet babymoon!!!
