Lunch meal planning differs greatly from family to family. Some families have peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for lunch, while other families may have a meat and veggie casserole. We have both kinds of lunches depending on the week and day. This week we have been especially preoccupied with the great spring weather! We are really enjoying it! I thought about taking a spring break week off from blogging, but maybe later.
This week, I repeated my breakfast menu plan from last week so that simplifies things quite a bit!
My Lunch Menu this week uses incorporates several meals (lunch and supper) with our ham I bought at Trader Joe’s for $3.99 a pound. We also made homemade root beer this week which made lunch time extra special this week:
Monday: Black Bean Burritos
Wednesday: Ham Sandwiches with our homemade root beer
Thursday: Spit Pea Soup (using ham bone from this weeks ham) and grilled cheese sandwiches
Friday: Loaded Baked Potatoes
Saturday: Homemade Pizza
Check out our post on how we gathered sassafras roots and made our own root beer. Pretty cool that is where root beer came from originally!
