Homemade Bread: .50 cents and 5 minutes a day!!!

I ran across an article on how to make homemade bread for .50 cents and with 5 minutes a day.  It was a very informative read with lots of great information.

Baking bread at home saves hundreds of dollars on groceries every year. With this easy method, each deliciously crusty-on-the-outside, moist-and-chewy-on-the-inside loaf will only cost you about 50 cents and 5 minutes a day. We’re not kidding!

…..nobody’s grandmother would ever have paid $6 for a loaf of bread!

I do believe to have a complete pantry, one must have some very basics for making things like bread!  Whether you make bread regularly or not, your pantry should have the supplies in it to make bread when necessary.

For those that do buy bread from the store, I would highly suggest you check out a local discount bakery in your area.  Many popular bread manufacturers have “day old bread” stores that will end up saving you a ton of money on your bread.  For a while I was buying bread for .75 cents a loaf from the bread store!  It was fresh, in-date and froze well, so I would stock up once a week.  It saved me a lot of money doing it that way.

  1. I have a blog post for this in the works! I have a container in the fridge with dough in it right now! I use it mostly for rolls and pizza crust! It's so yummy!
